Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy of all financial transactions.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Conduct internal audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and GAAP.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize budget processes and financial forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a strong plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Dedicated to working independently with a high level of self-motivation.
