Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L) in strict compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure full compliance with all tax regulations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process and provide necessary documentation.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high degree of self-motivation and time management.
