Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger activities and ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and balance sheets.
- Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax filings and ensure timely submission.
- Conduct internal audits and reviews to improve operational efficiency and internal controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support budget preparation.
- Maintain and organize financial records and documentation for auditing purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and internal controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
