Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle payroll processing for 500+ employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, including FLSA, FICA, and tax regulations.
- Prepare and file payroll tax returns, reconciliations, and year-end reports.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer complex employee inquiries regarding pay and deductions.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to maintain accurate employee records and compensation data.
- Maintain and update payroll systems and procedures to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of proven experience in payroll processing or a related accounting role.
- Proficiency with major payroll software platforms such as ADP, Workday, or Paychex.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP principles and payroll tax compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
