Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and code invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Process and prepare payments to vendors via ACH, wire transfers, and checks.
- Reconcile accounts payable statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain organized digital and physical vendor files and documentation.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and prepare financial reports as needed.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing issues and answer inquiries.
- Perform regular audits of the AP register to ensure data integrity.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 1-3 years of verifiable experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles.
