As a Payroll Specialist, you will be the backbone of our compensation operations, ensuring our team is paid accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll for all employees accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Review and reconcile timecards, leave requests, and expense reports to ensure data integrity.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax forms and personal information.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and remittances to state and federal agencies on a timely basis.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and pay statements with a high level of professionalism.
- Assist in the annual audit preparation of payroll-related documentation and reports.
- Collaborate with the HR department to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth onboarding/offboarding processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in payroll processing or a related accounting role.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, or Paycor) is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of FLSA regulations, wage and hour laws, and payroll tax requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors before processing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with staff and management.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with strict confidentiality.
