Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll for all employees using our core HRIS platform, ensuring 100% accuracy.
- Calculate commissions, bonuses, overtime, and deductions in strict compliance with federal and state regulations (FLSA, KY state laws).
- Prepare and file necessary payroll tax reports and quarterly/annual tax filings with the IRS and state agencies.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax documents (W-2s, 1099s), and payroll deductions in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify errors and implement process improvements.
- Collaborate with the benefits team to ensure deductions for health insurance and retirement plans are processed correctly.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee compensation and personal data.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing.
- Experience with ADP, Paychex, or Workday is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and FLSA requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and HRIS software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of discretion and integrity.
