Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees using ADP Workforce Now and QuickBooks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations (FLSA, ERISA, etc.).
  • Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax returns and ensure timely remittance of taxes.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies, tax notices, and employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax forms.
  • Assist with the reconciliation of payroll bank accounts and general ledger entries.
  • Coordinate with HR to update payroll data for new hires, terminations, promotions, and status changes.
  • Conduct periodic audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on payroll processing experience in a corporate environment.
  • Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks) is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws, FLSA, and payroll tax regulations.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and high attention to detail with the ability to spot errors.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive financial and personnel data.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with employees and management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
