We're urgently seeking a meticulous Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic finance team in Anchorage, Alaska. As a key player in our operations, you'll ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for 200+ employees while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations. Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 200+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and tax filings for AK, federal, and local jurisdictions
- Conduct payroll audits and reconcile discrepancies with HR and accounting teams
- Generate payroll reports for CFO and executive leadership
- Implement and maintain payroll system upgrades and process improvements
- Support year-end tax filings and W-2 distribution
- Train new hires on payroll procedures and timekeeping systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience in Alaska
- ADP Workforce Now certification strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Alaska state tax regulations (AS 23.05)
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot table expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus
- Experience with multi-state payroll compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
