Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse workforce, ensuring accuracy and strict adherence to deadlines.
- Prepare and file all federal, state, and local payroll tax returns and regulatory reports in full compliance with FLSA regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide exceptional support to employees regarding payroll inquiries, deductions, paystubs, and benefits calculations.
- Collaborate closely with the HR department to update employee records and maintain accurate, up-to-date payroll databases.
- Process and reconcile benefit deductions, garnishments, and other voluntary deductions efficiently.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional payroll processing experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in payroll software such as ADP Workforce Now, Paychex, or QuickBooks Payroll.
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA, wage and hour laws, and tax compliance requirements.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive employee information with the utmost discretion.
