Responsibilities

  • Process Payroll: Accurately calculate and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for over 100 employees using ADP, ensuring all deductions and tax withholdings are correct.
  • Timekeeping Management: Review, verify, and approve timesheets and time-off requests submitted by staff to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Prepare and file necessary federal and state payroll tax forms (W-2s, 940, 941) and maintain accurate payroll records for audit purposes.
  • Employee Inquiries: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding payroll questions, deductions, and pay stub inquiries.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll bank accounts and general ledger accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
  • System Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and updates of payroll software and HR information systems.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources is preferred.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a corporate environment.
