Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate insurance claims for Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through effective communication with insurance providers
- Conduct thorough patient billing and collections while maintaining exceptional service standards
- Utilize Epic EMR system for charge entry and account reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and billing documentation standards
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for leadership review
- Train new staff on billing protocols and system updates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Advanced proficiency in Epic EMR and billing software (e.g., Change Healthcare)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with third-party payer negotiations and appeals
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
