Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end medical billing processes including claim submission, follow-up, and appeals
- Verify insurance eligibility and resolve billing discrepancies with payers
- Maintain accurate patient accounts and financial records using Epic EMR
- Analyze denial trends and implement corrective actions to reduce AR days
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate charge capture and documentation
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential preferred
- Proficiency in medical coding (CPT, ICD-10) and claim scrubbing tools
- Expertise in Epic EMR and practice management systems
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills for resolving payer/patient inquiries
