We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our growing finance team in the heart of Tucson, AZ. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the timely and accurate processing of employee compensation while maintaining strict adherence to federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll using ADP or similar software with 100% accuracy.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax forms (W-2, W-4) and direct deposit information.
- Calculate overtime, commissions, and deductions in strict compliance with FLSA regulations.
- Reconcile payroll bank accounts and prepare necessary journal entries for the month-end close.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from staff and management promptly and professionally.
- Ensure strict compliance with Arizona state tax laws and federal regulations.
- Assist with internal audits and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Previous experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar administrative role (1+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Workday, or similar) is a strong plus.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic accounting principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll topics simply.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.
