Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for all employees using ADP and QuickBooks, ensuring 100% accuracy.
- Review and verify timekeeping data, including timecards and timesheets, to ensure proper calculation of hours worked and overtime.
- Prepare and distribute paystubs and W-2 forms in a timely manner.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees regarding pay discrepancies, tax forms, and direct deposit details.
- Process garnishments, tax withholdings, and other deductions according to legal requirements.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly payroll tax reports and ensure timely filing with state and federal agencies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records and documentation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in payroll processing, ADP, or similar HRIS software.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations, including FLSA compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and QuickBooks.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors before they occur.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to answer employee questions professionally.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
