Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll for all employees using ADP and QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Calculate payroll taxes, deductions, and net pay according to current federal and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including timecards, tax forms, and employee files.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax documents, and payroll deductions.
- Prepare and distribute monthly payroll reports to management and accounting departments.
- Assist with year-end payroll processing, W-2s, and 1099s.
- Ensure compliance with FLSA, ACA, and other applicable labor laws.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related finance role.
- Proficient knowledge of payroll software (ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of payroll tax laws, deductions, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff and management.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with the highest level of confidentiality.
