Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for over 200 employees using ADP and QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy in every transaction.
- Manage and maintain accurate payroll records, including timekeeping data, deductions, and tax filings.
- Prepare and review payroll tax reports (941, state returns) and ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Respond to and resolve employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, direct deposits, tax forms (W-2/W-4), and time-off requests.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports related to payroll expenses and benefits administration.
- Collaborate with the HR department to update employee information and ensure data consistency across systems.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in payroll processing, timekeeping, or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency in payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks is mandatory.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent mathematical skills with an eagle eye for detail to detect errors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel for data analysis and reporting.
