Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accurate calculation of gross pay, deductions, and net pay.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including W-4s, direct deposit information, and tax filings.
  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax reports and returns (e.g., Form 941, state quarterly returns).
  • Handle payroll adjustments, corrections, and complex deductions such as garnishments or benefits.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax documents, and time-off balances in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reconcile payroll bank accounts and prepare monthly payroll reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure time tracking and leave balances are accurately reflected in the payroll system.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing, bookkeeping, or a similar administrative role.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll) is required.
