Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for over 500 employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Calculate and process commissions, bonuses, and deductions accurately according to company policy and legal requirements.
- Prepare and review payroll tax filings, including quarterly and annual reports, to ensure full compliance with FLSA and state laws.
- Assist with garnishment orders, tax levies, and other legal deductions.
- Reconcile payroll bank accounts and resolve any discrepancies or exceptions immediately.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax forms (W-2/W-4), and time off balances.
- Collaborate with the Benefits team to ensure accurate deductions for health insurance and retirement plans.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related accounting role.
- Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks) is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors before processing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive employee data.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
