Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly/salaried employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Verify time records and reconcile discrepancies with department managers
- Prepare and file federal/state tax forms (941, W-2, local filings)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and union dues with legal compliance
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries within 24 hours
- Conduct quarterly payroll audits and year-end reconciliations
- Collaborate with HR on new hire onboarding and terminations
Qualifications
- 3+ years payroll processing experience with multi-state operations
- Proficiency in ADP, QuickBooks, or similar payroll software
- Familiarity with FLSA, ACA, and Virginia labor regulations
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros)
- PHR or CPP certification preferred
- Proven ability to handle confidential payroll data with discretion
