Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements for compliance.
- Perform accurate reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledgers.
- Assist with annual tax preparation and ensure all regulatory filings are completed on schedule.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently using accounting software.
- Provide detailed financial reporting and analysis to management to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with the team to identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 3+ years of proven experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software is mandatory.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and federal/state tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies in financial data.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
