Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-day bookkeeping operations, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, trial balances, and variance reports.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and local compliance requirements.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts.
- Perform internal audits and assist in the month-end close process.
- Streamline financial processes and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
- Maintain organized, secure, and up-to-date digital and physical financial records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master’s in Accounting (MAcc) preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
