Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and submit timely VAT returns and ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual bank reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and audit preparations.
- Generate comprehensive financial reports and variance analysis for senior management.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
Qualifications
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or AAT Level 4).
- Proven experience in UK tax compliance, specifically VAT and corporation tax.
- Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software (Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
