Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile monthly bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with strict attention to detail.
- Maintain the general ledger by performing monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and financial audits as required.
- Handle payroll processing for a small team of 5-10 employees.
- Organize and file financial documentation and invoices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, with at least 2-3 years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid capacity.
