Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Handle daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable for a portfolio of clients.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to ensure data integrity.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, on a monthly basis.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger, post journal entries, and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Compliance: Assist with tax preparation support and ensure all financial records comply with local and federal regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline bookkeeping processes and improve reporting efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a service-based industry.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions.
- Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
