Responsibilities
- Account Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by performing daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets for management review.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for a small team, ensuring all deductions and withholdings are calculated accurately and filed on time.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize business expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and tax regulations.
- Invoicing: Generate and send invoices to clients and track outstanding payments to ensure healthy cash flow.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage accounting software.
- Education: High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data integrity in all financial records.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
