Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements.
- Process payroll for a small team of 10-15 employees.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and balance sheets.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical financial documents.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and other financial audits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role (2+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic accounting principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot errors quickly.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Reliable internet connection for remote work flexibility.
