Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile daily financial transactions using Xero/QuickBooks
- Process payroll, VAT returns, and quarterly tax submissions
- Generate monthly profit/loss statements and balance sheets
- Manage client accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports for business advisory meetings
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Liaise with auditors during annual reviews
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping (2+ years)
- AAT Level 3/4 certification or equivalent
- Advanced proficiency in Xero/QuickBooks/Sage
- Strong understanding of UK tax legislation
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple client portfolios
