Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts daily
- Process accounts payable/receivable with 100% accuracy
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Manage VAT submissions and HMRC compliance
- Support annual audits and tax documentation
- Implement efficient bookkeeping workflows using Xero/QuickBooks
- Train junior staff on financial protocols
Qualifications
- 3+ years' bookkeeping experience with UK SMEs
- AAT Level 3/4 certification or equivalent
- Advanced proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks
- Expert knowledge of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Excel certification with pivot table mastery
- Proven track record of error-free financial reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
