Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable/receivable and general ledgers
- Process monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare VAT returns and manage quarterly tax submissions
- Generate management accounts and financial performance reports
- Assist with year-end accounts preparation and audit documentation
- Implement and maintain robust bookkeeping systems
- Provide financial insights to support business decision-making
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' bookkeeping experience with UK SMEs
- Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage 50 software
- AAT Level 3/4 certification or equivalent qualification
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
