Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end bank reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for client review.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns in collaboration with external tax specialists.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile credit card statements and maintain expense reports for management approval.
- Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis for key business units.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 2+ years of experience in general accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate finance setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
