Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping & Reconciliation: Manage daily financial transactions, reconcile bank statements, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in the processing and verification of payroll for small to medium-sized businesses.
- Tax Preparation Support: Gather necessary documentation and assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings.
- Invoice Management: Review, process, and issue invoices to ensure timely payment and accurate billing.
- Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a small business or accounting firm setting.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and accounting software.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain high data accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with clients professionally.
- Availability: Must be available to work a flexible part-time schedule (approx. 20-25 hours per week).
