Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist with payroll processing for a small team of employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Perform monthly financial analysis to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
- Assist in the annual audit preparation process.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Experience with tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, TaxSlayer) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
