Job Description
We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our remote finance team. Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing: Accurately receive, verify, code, and process a high volume of invoices in a timely manner using ERP systems.
- Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries regarding billing, status updates, and discrepancies.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and AP sub-ledger reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, aging summaries, and variance analysis.
- System Maintenance: Maintain vendor master data and ensure all tax compliance requirements are met.
- Expense Management: Review and process employee expense reports for compliance and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure 100% accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Reliability: Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
