Responsibilities

  • Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including processing invoices and ensuring timely payments.
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliation to ensure account balances are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports and financial statements for management review.
  • Maintain and update the company's general ledger using accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
  • Process payroll for a small team of employees, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Assist the Senior Accountant with tax preparation filings and audit support.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is required; experience with NetSuite or Sage is a plus.
  • Education: Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
