As a Weekend Accountant, you'll work Saturday and Sunday shifts (8 AM - 5 PM) maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing critical support for our weekday operations. Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile weekend financial transactions including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and expense reports
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with weekend-specific adjustments
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations for weekend accounting cycles
- Collaborate with weekday finance team to maintain seamless financial operations
- Conduct weekend bank reconciliations and variance analysis
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes with weekend work streams
- Maintain organized financial documentation with weekend-specific filing systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 3+ years of accounting experience with weekend shift or flexible scheduling
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred)
- CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
- Expertise in financial statement preparation and reconciliation processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration
