Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Bookkeeping: Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reconcile bank accounts.
- Tax Preparation Support: Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Compliance & Auditing: Maintain up-to-date financial records and assist with internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a part-time or freelance capacity.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (Advanced), and Intacct or similar ERP systems.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
