Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist with the preparation of tax documents and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and organize filing systems.
- Perform variance analysis and assist in budget preparation as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2+ years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or Sage accounting software.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) are required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Skills: Accounting, Reconciliation, Financial Reporting, QuickBooks, Excel, AP/AR, GAAP, Month-End Close.
