Apex Financial Partners is a leading financial services firm seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic remote team. We are offering a Direct Hire opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a high-performance environment.
As a key member of our accounting department, you will ensure the accuracy of financial records, prepare comprehensive financial reports, and provide strategic insights to support our operations in Las Vegas, NV, and North Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns, ensuring full compliance with tax regulations.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes to guarantee financial data integrity.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial data, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate effectively across time zones.
