Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Conduct detailed bank reconciliations and prepare variance analysis reports.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and support external audits.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and internal controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment.
