Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of general ledger accounts and financial statements.
- Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Support the accounts payable and receivable departments with invoice processing.
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and analyze basic financial data using Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and electronic documents.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records with guidance from senior staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently enrolled in an accounting program).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and GAAP standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
