Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients.
- Process payroll for select clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and filing support.
- Maintain and organize physical and digital financial records in an organized, secure manner.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to detect discrepancies in financial data.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to clients.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
