Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, ensure timely payments, and follow up on outstanding collections accurately.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for a small team of employees, ensuring tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Bookkeeping Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and categorized.
- Compliance & Auditing: Assist with tax preparation filings and respond to external auditor inquiries as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions required). Experience with Xero or Sage is highly desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Time Management: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
