Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts and financial records
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow)
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes and reconcile bank accounts
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance documentation
- Implement and improve accounting systems and internal controls
- Analyze financial trends and provide budgetary recommendations
- Collaborate with auditors during financial reviews and tax season
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience with small businesses
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Proven experience with financial reporting and reconciliation
- Excellent communication skills and client management experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
