Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end monthly and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow analyses.
- Oversee general ledger accounting, including accounts payable and receivable reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure all tax filings are submitted accurately and on time.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid work environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proven ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
