Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance analysis
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Manage complex account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure financial integrity and compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
- Conduct audits of financial processes and recommend improvements
- Maintain accurate financial records in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle experience preferred)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA required)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public and private sector exposure
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with VBA/macros experience and ERP systems
- Proven experience managing month-end/year-end close processes
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
