Join our dynamic finance team as a Senior Financial Accountant and drive financial excellence for our New Orleans-based clients. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while supporting businesses in the vibrant Gulf Coast region. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and strategic decision-making through meticulous accounting practices.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow management
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulations
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Lead audits and prepare documentation for external reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and SEC regulations
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Remote work experience with self-discipline and time management
