Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 10-15 diverse client portfolios
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with commentary
- Process accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
- Assist with quarterly sales tax filings and compliance documentation
- Support month-end closing processes and variance analysis
- Maintain accurate QuickBooks databases with audit-ready trails
- Collaborate with senior accountants on tax preparation workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (PivotTables/VLOOKUP)
- Deep understanding of GAAP principles and CA sales tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for client interactions
- QuickBooks Advanced certification highly desirable
