Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including reconciling bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual VAT returns to HMRC.
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and budgets.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees on a monthly basis.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy.
- Provide ad-hoc financial reporting to the management team.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, AAT (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Proven experience in a similar accounting role within the UK.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software, particularly Xero or Sage.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity.
- Strong attention to detail and high ethical standards.
- Valid right to work in the United Kingdom.
