Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (Forms 1040, 1065, 1120) with high accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct thorough tax research and analyze financial data to ensure optimal tax strategies for clients.
- Assist senior staff in preparing audit schedules, financial statements, and supporting documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary financial information and explain complex tax concepts clearly.
- Utilize industry-standard tax preparation software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSeries, or Drake) to manage client workflows efficiently.
- Stay updated on changes in federal and state tax regulations to provide the best possible advice to our team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data entry and review.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Outlook.
- Willingness to obtain necessary tax preparation certifications during the paid training period.
